JOURNEY is designed to support a deep inner return.

Where some of our Rituals regulate, soften, or gently reorient, JOURNEY may take you directly into the material itself — memory, emotion, symbolism, insight, resistance, surrender, and transformation. This is about entering an altered state consciously so that what is ready to be met can be met with compassion, honesty, courage, and support.

  • Before You Decide

    Even if the product is already in your hands, it is worth becoming very clear whether this is the right choice at this time.

  • Physical Health

    Speak to a qualified healthcare professional first, and consider not proceeding, if you have a history of:

    • Heart disease
    • Stroke
    • Uncontrolled high blood pressure
    • Epilepsy or seizures
    • Serious respiratory issues
  • Mental Health

    • A personal or family history of psychosis
    • Bipolar disorder
    • Schizophrenia
    • Severe personality disorder
    • Recent acute trauma or crisis
    • Current severe depression
    • Active self-harm thoughts
    • Suicidal ideation
  • Medications

    Interactions can be complex, and risks are real. Take particular care if you use:

    • SSRIs
    • SNRIs
    • MAOIs
    • Antipsychotics
    • Mood stabilisers
    • Benzodiazepines
    • Blood pressure medication
  • Life Circumstances

    If you are in the middle of a major upheaval — such as acute grief, a break-up, a legal crisis, or intense financial stress — it may be wiser to stabilise first.

    Sometimes the nervous system needs more
    ground before it is ready to go deep.

    If there is genuine doubt, it is often safer to pause and seek qualified support than to push ahead



  • Intention

    A deep journey amplifies what is already present.

    For that reason, intention matters — not as a way of controlling the experience, but as a way of orienting yourself within it.

    Before the day, take time to reflect:

    • Why do I feel called to this?
    • What am I hoping to understand, heal, or explore?
    • What qualities do I want to cultivate in myself?

    Helpful intentions tend to be open, spacious, and non-demanding. It is also good to keep your intention short and easy to recall when you are in the Journey itself.

    Avoid rigid, outcome-driven intentions. Pressure tends to create contraction. Openness creates room

    Examples:

    • I am willing to see what I need to see.
    • May I meet myself with honesty and kindness.
    • Show me what deeper alignment asks of me.
    • I love and honour all parts of myself.
  • Your Setting

    Your environment will shape the experience far more than most people realise

  • Location

    Choose a safe, private indoor space where you will not be disturbed.

    Ideally, prepare:

    • A sofa, mattress, or other comfortable place to lie down
    • Cushions and blankets
    • Soft, adjustable lighting
    • A calm atmosphere free from interruption
    • Water to have accessible near you
  • Music

    We highly recommend you think of a suitable playlist in advance so that you can just press play and lean back. Music can have an enormous effect on your JOURNEY, so it is important to choose wisely and to ensure that it is easily accessible when on the inner road. Another option is to have the first section of the journey in silence to allow for the experience to reveal itself without outside influences. Once the initial launch period has stabilised a playlist can be introduced for the duration of the journey.

  • Time

    Choose a day or evening with no responsibilities during the session and none afterwards that require functioning, communication, childcare, or travel.

    Ideally allow:

    • The full journey window - about 6 hours
    • A quiet wind-down afterwards
    • The following morning for gentle integration
    • Have some food ready for afterwards.
  • Who Is With You

    We strongly recommend that you are not alone on a full JOURNEY experience unless you are already highly experienced in these realms.

    An ideal sitter or companion is:

    • Sober throughout
    • Emotionally steady and calm
    • Non-judgemental
    • Able to prioritise reassurance and safety rather than interpretation
    • Informed about your medical context and emergency contact details

    It helps to agree beforehand:

    • Whether you prefer silence or gentle reassurance
    • How you would like to be supported if you become anxious
    • That they will call for help if serious physical red flags appear

  • Get extra JOURNEY support from us!

    It’s wonderful if you have someone there to support you along the way. A trusted friend can be just that for you. If however, you want to get that little bit deeper before and after the experience, then we also offer additional support packages with members of our trusted team.

  • Before the Day

    Preparation matters.

    In the 24 hours before, we recommend:

    • Avoiding alcohol and recreational substances
    • Keeping meals light
    • Hydrating well
    • Prioritising sleep


    On the day itself:

    • Begin in as regulated a state as possible
    • Take a short walk, stretch, breathe, journal, or meditate if helpful
    • Wear comfortable layered clothing
    • Prepare a soft “nest” with blankets, pillows, tissues, water, and anything else supportive nearby

What might I experience

LIGHTER ENTRY 1 - 3 SQUARES

A lower amount may support a gentler yet still meaningful inner exploration, often accompanied by increased introspection, emotional sensitivity and awareness. You may have already experience quite strong sensatory changes in your body.

3 squares equal 1 gram of Magic, which, for some, can already open the visual field. You will most certainly feel quite impacted emotionally, and we recommend doing this in a safe environment, certainly out of the context of everyday reality, where you can simply be and enjoy the journey.

DEEPENED IMMERSION 4 TO 9 SQUARES

From 4 squares onwards, we’d think that even those with a high tolerance will start feeling the effect quite strongly.
9 squares equals 3 grams, and this variety is very strong, so we’d say that is equivalent to 4.5g of standard Golden Teacher mushrooms. Many say that 5 g onwards is Hero’s Journey territory. So if you are moving towards 9 squares, we would imagine you experiencing strong visuals; walking may no longer be an option. You should prepare for this as a deep inward journey that requires a sensible setup and holding.

FULL CEREMONIAL DEPTH 10 TO 15 SQUARES

Here now we are well and truly in Hero’s Journey territory. You can expect deep inner visions, profound sensory changes, visuals and emotional intensity. Many describe their journey at this level as one of the most spiritual experiences of their lives. Equally, at this level, you can be confronted with challenging childhood memories or, at times, seemingly demonic energies. The key is knowing how to breathe and trust your way through these crunchy moments. The key may not be to avoid the difficult stuff as it comes up, but to move through it with grace and greater ease. Difficult patches can also be the foundation for remarkable realisations and growth. Most emerge from a journey this deep, deeply refreshed and reset.

  • A Final Note

    JOURNEY is not a casual threshold to cross.

    It is a medicine to meet with preparation, humility, and support.

    Please work with it responsibly and consciously.
